Today, we'll take our time. In the afternoon, our guide will pick you up for a heritage rickshaw tour through one of Delhi's oldest neighborhoods, known as Chandni Chowk. Visit the various bazaars and places of worship, including the Sikh shrine Sis Ganj Sahib and the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India.

Flight from Delhi to Bagdogra, then drive to your hotel located in the heart of Darjeeling (2.5 hours). Check-in at the hotel and free time to enjoy the surroundings. In the evening, you will receive a revitalizing treatment in the hotel spa.

Stay at the 5-star Elgin Hotel. Formerly the summer residence of the Maharaja of Cooch Behar, the Elgin Darjeeling is now a historic luxury hotel located in the heart of the town of Darjeeling, at an altitude of 1,800 meters in the Himalayas.

Early in the morning, we'll depart for Tiger Hill at 2,590 meters above sea level to admire the sunrise over Kangchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. We'll pass through thick oak forests and groves of fragrant magnolia trees.

On the way back to the hotel, we'll visit the Yiga Choeling Monastery of Ghoom, located at 2,225 meters above sea level. It is the first Tibetan Buddhist monastery, built in 1875, affiliated with the Yellow Hat sect.

After lunch, we'll take a walking tour of the city, which has preserved its distinctively British architecture, a legacy of its colonial past. [Option: Travel from Darjeeling to Ghoom aboard the “Toy Train” (Darjeeling Himalayan Railway), a UNESCO World Heritage Site.] Overnight at the 5-star THE ELGIN Hotel

After breakfast, we will visit an organic tea producer's plantation.

Darjeeling tea is renowned for its lightness and aroma and is exported worldwide. In response to the urgent need to protect the environment, 50 of the 74 plantations in the Darjeeling district have switched to organic farming. The producer will explain the tea-making process, from picking to the final product, and the natural methods he uses for his plantation. You will have lunch on site.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, a former Tibetan refugee camp established on October 1, 1959, to assist the reintegration of refugees who fled Tibet with the Dalai Lama. This self-managed center produces and sells numerous Tibetan handicrafts. Overnight at the 5-star THE ELGIN Hotel

We head towards Pelling in West Sikkim. Along the way, we'll stop at the traditional village of Hee Burmiok, which offers breathtaking views of the majestic Kanchenjunga massif. The hosts of a village guesthouse will give you a taste of Sikkimese cuisine before enjoying the dishes prepared during the class.

After lunch, we'll stroll through the village to meet the locals, then continue on the road to Pelling.

Today we will visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, located above the ruins of Rabdentse Palace, the royal capital of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. Pemayangtse Gompa, one of the oldest in Sikkim, is surrounded by gardens and the traditional houses of the resident monks.

We will then head to the Skywalk, India's first glass walkway, located at an altitude of over 2,000 meters and directly opposite the world's tallest statue of Chenrezig.

For lunch, we will head to Darap, a small, well-preserved village with traditional wooden houses. We will dine with a local family. Before hitting the road again, we'll stroll through the village of Darap and meet its friendly locals. Return to the hotel for free time. Overnight at the 5-star Kaya Gantavya Hotel

We'll head back to Gangtok, stopping along the way at Yungdrung Kundrakling Gompa, the only Bon monastery in Sikkim. Animist Bon predates Buddhism in Tibet. Arrival in the afternoon, check-in at the hotel, and free time. Stay at the 5-star MAYFAIR Hotel

We head to Rumtek Monastery, about thirty kilometers from Gangtok. Rumtek, in addition to being the largest monastery in the state of Sikkim, is also one of the most revered. Built in the 1960s along the same lines as Tsurphu Gompa in Tibet, the gompa is the main seat of the "Black Hats" or Karma Kagyu, a branch within the Nyingma school of Buddhism that emerged around the 12th century in Tibet.

After lunch, we will visit Phodong Monastery(1740 CE) affiliated with the Kagyu branch of Buddhism and home to 300 monks. The gompa became famous after French explorer Alexander David Neel spent several years there learning Buddhism in the 1910s.

Two kilometers from Phodong is the Labrang Monastery, renowned for its unique octagonal structure called Rinchen Surgay. Splendid murals of Tibetan deities adorn the walls of the monastery's interior. It also has a museum displaying a remarkable collection of Buddha statues. Return to the hotel. Rest and free time. Overnight at the 5* MAYFAIR Hotel  

We gently descend back towards Darjeeling. Along the way, we'll stop for lunch in Turuk at a charming residence, then explore the village on foot. We'll continue on the road to your hotel in Siliguri.
