Ayurvedic cure on Munroe Island
Kerala is known for its Ayurvedic treatments. Ayurveda (‘science of life’) is an alternative medicine considered as one of the oldest in the world, it is said to be more than 5,000 years old and would have its origins in the Vedic culture of India. From an oral tradition, it was taught from accomplished masters to disciples. The principles of many natural healing systems known in the West have their roots in Ayurveda, including homeopathy. Ayurveda places great importance on prevention and promotes the maintenance of good health by treating the individual holistically.
In order to regenerate you, we propose a Ayurvedic cure of 7 to 21 days, on the shores of the Lake Ashtamudi, in a vast domain of 4 hectares of lush greenery. It is led by a doctor with over 30 years of experience and has descended from a family of three generations of Ayurvedic doctors. The center is specialised in panchakarma treatment, a five-step process of purification and rejuvenation. The center has all the necessary facilities and grows its own Ayurvedic herbs and vegetables.
