Karnataka coastal road via Kodagu

Karnataka coastal road via Kodagu

€750 per person

A 6-day trip along the beautiful Karnataka coastal road from Mysore to Goa with a stop in the lush hills of Kodagu (coorg) located on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats.

We will start this journey from Mysore, the city of the Maharaja’s, then take to the heights and cross the green mountains of Kodagu, endlessly lined with coffee plantations and spices. The inhabitants of Coorg are descendants of the Kodavas, a local clan who worship their weapons and who, surprisingly, excel in hockey practice.

We will then drive to to our first coastal visit: Mangaluru, a city famous for its coffee and cashew trade.  Its numerous ancient temples are its main assets in addition to being blessed with a luxuriant nature and paradisal beaches.

From Mangaluru, we will travel North, still on the coastal road, for a stop at Udupi, a place known for its sacred temple dedicated to Krishna.  It is one of the highest places of pilgrimage in Karnataka.  We will again continue North and take a relaxing break in Gokarna, which offers a mix of stunning beaches and ancient temples.

We will end this trip to Goa.
