This very challenging trek leads us to an 80 foot rock standing at an altitude of 5667m that has the shape of a lingam, the symbol of Lord Shiva. It is said to be the mythical winter abode of the god Shiva and thus is highly revered by Hindu pilgrims. We access it through a tough steep trek paved with boulders, moraines, and glaciers.

Day 1
Delhi - Shimla
Namaste! We welcome you warmly in Delhi and we directly proceed to Shimla - Overnight in Shimla.
Day 2
Shimla - Kalpa
We drive to Kalpa by jeep (220 km approx. /8 hrs.) and we check in at the 'Little Heaven Retreat Centre’, a lovely wooden house offering the best view in Kalpa village.
Day 3
Kalpa - Tangling - Parvati Park
Grade: Tough / Duration: 6-7 hrs / Distance: 7 km /
We leave Kalpa early in the morning and drive 23km to Tangling Village (2150m). The Kinner Kailash trek starts from Tangling, situated on the left bank of the Sutlej River.
After a tasty breakfast at a guesthouse, we start our trek from Talangpi at around 8 am. We’ll be reaching Parvati Park (Melling Khata) by 3-4pm.
Day 4
Parvati Park - Ganesh Park
Grade: Tough / Duration: 6-7 hrs / Distance: 7 km /
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we start our trek to Ganesh Park, which has a 5 km steep ascent. It will take 7 hours to reach Ganesh Park.
Day 5
Ganesh Park - Gufa - Shivalinga - Ganesh Park
Grade: Tough / Distance: 17-18 km / Duration: 12-14h
We pack our breakfast and start this important journey early in the morning, around 4am.
From Ganesh Park we proceed to a cave (3800m) 3.5 km away. The first 2km is a steep walk through boulders and across a small glacier. Then, there is a 1.5 km descent to the Cave.
From the Cave, there is about 5.5km to the Shivalingam. Now we have to trek 3.5km to Parvati Kund (4550m): The 1st half (1.5 km) of the trek is a vertical cliff and the 2nd half up to Parvati Kund is covered with rocks, boulders, and snow.
When we meet Parvati Kund, there are still a tough 2km up to the Shivalingam. The trail is steep and covered with big boulders; the oxygen level gets low, which makes the trek very tough.
We finally reach the sacred place by 11am; it is situated at 5220m altitude. After the Shivalingam darshan and pooja we start to trek down, taking the same trail towards Ganesh Park. We make a stop at the cave to have our lunch around 3pm and after a small rest, we proceed to Ganesh Park and reach there by 6-7pm.
We camp at Melling-Khata (Ganesh Park).
Day 6
Ganesh Park - Kalpa - Sarahan
Grade: Steep down / Distance: 8-9km / Duration: 6-7h
Early in the morning we trek down to Tangling where a generous lunch will be served in a guesthouse. End of this mystical trek.
We drive back to Kalpa and then we proceed to Sarahan village (85 km). Sarahan is famous for its pagoda style Bhimakali Temple, one of the 51st Shakti Peetha and once the seat of the Bushahr Kingdom. Close to the Bhimakali Temple there is also a bird sanctuary known for a rare blue pheasant called Monal.
Day 7
Sarahan - Shimla
After breakfast, we leave for Shimla (165 km). We make stops at Rampur, Narkanda, and Kufri for sightseeing. Lunch will be taken on the way of the national highway. In Shimla, we first check into our hotel and by the evening, we will go shopping at the famous Mall Street of Shimla. Overnight in Shimla.
Day 8
Shimla - Delhi
Early in the morning after breakfast, we proceed to Delhi to drop you. End of this trek and tour. Looking forward to meeting you again. Namaste.
